Dypshagia - esophagopharyngeal, with foreign body, appears to have a food impaction. Differential diagnosis includes Schatzki ring, esophageal stricture, and eosinophilic esophagitis. Risks/benefits of upper endoscopy discussed with patient and family including bleeding, infection, perforation, and death. Increased risk of perforation also noted. Patient agreeable to proceed with upper endoscopy. Recommended glucagon 1mg IV prior to endoscopy.
