Many cars have key less entry and ignitions with key fobs. The batteries have to be replaced about every two years. The 2017 Mustang uses CR2025 lithium disc batteries. A local CVS has them for $6.49 per battery, meanwhile Amazon has them for $2.67 for a two pack with free shipping. Click on the link to order the batteries. The fob and the inner compartment can be opened easily without screws; just make sure to snap things back in place correctly.
