Tesla will be added to the S and P 500 in December 2020. Yahoo was added to the index in 1999 with a market cap of $56 billion with a price earnings ratio of 900. Netflix has a basic plan starting at $8.99 per month but it is in standard definition and only allows one device. Their standard plan is $12.99, has high definition, and allows two screens. March 25, 2020 - a bill in the United States Senate will spend about $2 trillion on relief for the coronavirus. $208 billion of loans to affected companies. (1) Not more than $50,000,000,000 shall be available for passenger air carriers. (2) Not more than $8,000,000,000 shall be available for cargo air carriers. March 2020 - the Dow Jones Industrial Average is down 10 percent due to the coronavirus, a respiratory infection that started in China. SPY is an ETF for the Standard and Poor's 500. The price has dropped from 339.08 in February 2020 to 302 on March 5, 2020. The dividend yield is 1.9 percent. However in 2015, the stock had $4 in dividends and the price was near 200 , a similar yield. Schwab US Broad Market ETF SCHB tracks the 2500 largest stocks in the market. It's dropped from 82 to 72 and has a 1.96 percent yield. Microsoft, Apple, Amazon, and Alphabet account for about 15% of the holdings but it also has small cap stocks. It has exposure to the growth in small cap or mid cap stocks that can become the next Microsoft or Google. #stocks See Post
February 2020 - Tesla stock has risen from $180 in the middle of 2019 to a high of $960 this year. One analyst expects Tesla to have a $1 Trillion in revenue within a decade. The analyst also put a $7,000 price target on the stock. Considering an average price of a Tesla Model 3 at $42,000, this would mean they would sell 23.9 million cars in one year. According to statista.com, 77 million cars were sold worldwide in 2019. Tesla's market cap is $145 billion and it sold 367,500 cars in 2019. Berkshire Hathaway generates cash from it's multiple insurance companies and invests it well in equities. Lately, it's been investing in airline stocks. It's largest holding currently is Apple. Nvidia has become a $2 trillion company due to chip demand most recently from AI. Bought shares at $849.35 on 3/05. Then sold a call at 845 at 28.60. Then bought a put at 815 at 12.11. Both expired on 3/15. Nvidia went up to around 950 prior to options expiration. On 3/15, it closed above 845 around 882. #stocks #nvda See Post
