France has really good passing. They are finding the open man and sharing the ball well. All the goals were based on great passes in the Switzerland game. The long pass for the counter goal by Valbuena at 40 minutes was fifty yards long. Benzema is scoring well but he also passes the ball. This is wonderful football to watch.

6/21/14 - Germany and Ghana played to a 2-2 tie. The first half of this game was a good example of why this sport does not gain popularity in the United States. A significant part of the half was played in the middle of the field. Germany was playing a very defensive game against a faster opponent. Ghana was not capitalizing on their opportunities. In contrast, France has been using more longitudinal plays. Neymar plays well in tight space. He can evade defenders and takes intelligent shots on goal. His footwork is extraordinary. 6/29/14 Terrible defeat for Mexico in the last few minutes 2 to 1. Excellent corner kick which was played back to the center for a great shot on goal from a better angle.
