Tesla stock decreased significantly after their latest earnings announcement. It had one of the greatest run ups of to a $200 billion plus market cap in history. In 2020, the stock went from the mid $361 to $1794. Currently, they provide the best option for electric vehicles. Porsche released the Taycan but it costs $100k. Ford's Mustang Mach E looks promising but it won't be out till Fall 2020. In the June quarter, Tesla delivered 90,000 vehicles. At 360,000 vehicles delivered per year and a $262 billion market capitalization, the company is worth $727,000 per car sold. The cars sell for $40k to $130k. BMW sells 2.3 million cars per year with a similar price range. At the same valuation per car, Tesla would be worth $1.6 trillion. -July 24, 2020 #stocks
