The pursuit of happiness was apparently a new concept when it was written. However, this was the reason people have been coming to this country from the beginning. It can take many forms including religious freedom. Regarding work, people have come here to achieve their highest potential for service to others. They were unhappy in their prior situations maybe due to restrictive governments or economies. The people of this country have contributed a lot to the world in new ideas and methods. ...Read more
